ZZZZZZZ

Sleep, whats it good for? Well for one lack of sleep will kill you faster than lack of water or food! So why not get that good eight, and I mean a full eight, hours of sleep? The benefits of sleeping often and regularly are unparalleled. Physically when you sleep you body shuts down and spends time repairing the daily wear and tear of life. Although mentally when you sleep your brain doesn't shut down, it actually goes to work refining all the recent neural connections its been making, aka solidifying all that you've been learning. Sleepiness is caused by a lack a chemical in the brain that is metabolized while your awake. The chemical, the name escapes me at the moment, increases concentration and alertness and scientists have make a chemical that you can spray into your nose and poof! All sleepiness gone. But the reason it hasn't gone to market is that we know so little about sleep. Sure I've just told you a good deal but that isn't even the half of it. Who knows what would happen if you never had to sleep. Not only to you body but also to your mind.
Sleep is very important and regular sleep can cure most disorders. I sleep a lot and i truly believe that it helps with every thing I do.

New Ideas

Well I've not writen any thing in a while now but I have something that I just need to share. I was in my science class the other day and it was all about the pursuit towards absolute zero. It was the most interesting thing that I had ever seen because it led me to my new theory about the universe.
The current view is that the universe will expand for all eternity moving apart at an exponentional rate until the universe dies a cold death. When I first heard this theory I was in disbelief. There is no way that a universe, which is made of cycles, could not be a cycle in its self. The universe had to die and be reborn. Forever.
But then I discovered that atoms behave much differently at cool temperatures. They start to be have like waves and are able to travel much faster than ordinary atoms. It was like they quantified and couldn't tell if they were here or there or if they even were. If this is true then it is possible that towards the end of the universe, when the temperature drops close to absolute zero, all the atoms in the universe will be able to overcome the expansive properties of Dark Energy and coalesce towards the center of the universe and condense in to a hyper dense orb that would signify the end/new beginning of the universe. Thus the cycle is preserved and balance is maintained.
This brings about the question of dark energy and dark matter, but that is for another discussion.

Its a New Year

Hi ya'll and happy new year. I only stayed up till 2:30 cause I had to leave the party due to the weather. Finals are looming on the horizon and I feel sleepy. This is probably due to the fact that halo can eat up massive amounts of time if your not careful. Now here's a question. Every once and a while I have a can of Mountain Dew, or some other energy drink and, instead of the burst of energy that you would expect from a stimulant, I suddenly feel tired and depressed. What is up with that? I just had some MD Gamefuel a couple hours ago and the same thing happened. Is it a mental thing or physical? This particular time I felt like I had been on a 4 hour high energy game run. I usually game for about 5 hours a day with plenty of breaks, unless I'm playing halo. But I Digress.

Nick, Kent? How are things? I haven't heard from you collage junkies in forever.

Heart and Soul

I think that everyone has heard the expression; "Put you heart and soul into it!", but has anyone really thought about what it means? There are three things in the Universe and only three things. They are Matter, Energy and Time. So far, humans can manipulate two of those three things, Matter and Energy. I think that the above phrase means more than we give it credit for, as I have a new theory about life and it's relation to the soul. My theory is that as we live our life, bits of our soul fall into what ever is around us or what we're doing. This does not, by all means, mean that doing nothing will make you live longer, but it could explain why some addictions can kill.
One important thing is that you can't willingly slow down the rate at which your soul leaves your body but you can speed it up. Stress, fun, depression, sickness, and jealousy all can speed up the rate at which your soul disperses. Time flies when you're having fun, is when your soul latches on to what ever is making you happy. Then the bits of your soul remain there until the End. During Depression your soul is flung out in every direction with no purpose and thus does not "stick" to anything. During stressful situations, your soul turns into shards and impales you and the object or your stress. Pieces of soul on the body does not mean that the soul is recycled, as your body is only a temporary vessel for your soul. Jealousy is much the same as stress but rather than both you and your target, it is expended at a much increased rate at only the target of your jealousy.
When doing something, our soul enters that activity and gives it meaning to our minds as we know that pieces of your soul are leaving and we like to be around things that have meaning. Essentially you "live on" in the things that you did. In traditions, greed, hate, love, in the offspring of your children and the enemies that you make.
When we are old, much of our soul is gone and what is left is at the middle of the body and takes energy from the body as it exits, leaving the old tired. These last pieces are often spent on people or our life long positions. When they attach to other people's bodies out of love or affection, and love or affection is received, the bits are absorbed by each person. allowing one to live on, in memory, and the other to give comfort. This replaced soul is not recognized by the body and thus does not keep the body and mind alive but it does give the body meaning after it fails to function.

The morel of the story? Do somthing that you will always enjoy and never regret. Be kind to others and yourself and choose where to leave your soul, not have it be chosen for you.

Change as an Idea

Change is the one thing that is constant in life. Life is always changing and those that don't change are lost in the depths of time. Humans may be one of the most adaptable to change yet, which is why they have taken over the earth as the dominant species. This excludes the simplest of organisms and viruses which will almost always survive because of their simplicity and the relatively nonexistent need of recourses, compared to humans of course.
In the beginning, life was not that accepting of change. Billions of generations would pass and the first lifeforms just didn't like the idea of change. Then as the available resources decreased change was accepted as the best way to survive. Then, just before the first great extinction, life would change almost constantly. There were more species of animal, plant, bacteria than ever before. Then 95% of that population was gone in the first and greatest of many great extinctions. Life has since been gradually finding the best ratios between change and no change. It had thought it had found it when the it grew to the dinosaurs but, after a few million years, they too were wiped out. This was life new test. Before, brute strength and size were enough to get everything you needed. But in a new world crisis and mass extinction of 70% of the world's population proved that wrong. Now life is seeing if brains is the way to go. Thus Humans have arisen and life is probably worried. Change, the great double edged sword of fate, is happening, not every million generations, not every hundred generations, but almost every generation of human life there have been great amounts of change. Life was worried that the humans could not handle the responsibility of applied chemistry, physics and mathematics, even though each of these things had always existed. But now they were being combined in ways never before tried. Life realized that it was losing control over its creation. One of its own creations was daubing in the art of creation. A realm that was only ever explored by life before.
